ABC Chart


The shared reading of the alphabet chart is an important element in our kindergarten and first grade classrooms.  By chanting the chart the students become fluent with letter recognition and sound-to-symbol recognition. In addition to becoming proficient at these skills, children become familiar with the chart so that it becomes a resource to link to during shared reading, interactive and independent writing.
